Flemish, Circa 1500. Made up of pieces of similar date and style. A wood or leather buffer would have hung between breastplate and the wooden shield. The helm bears a maker's mark. Some plates are modern restorations. The jouster leaned forward as he rode into the joust and looked through the vision slit in order to take aim.
